Australian Jewellery Designer Robert says he puts his DNA into every women’s wedding ring he creates. His wedding rings for women go beyond the definition of jewellery and into the realm of art. Robert considers all of his jewellery to be, first and foremost, works of art that connect with the wearer on a higher level. For him, jewellery is all about expressing love and connection. His interest in art started as a young boy when he designed a set of twee sculptures that his mother has to this day. A childhood interest evolved into a forty-year adventure as a sculptor and photographer. Robert’s experience with sculpture is clearly evident in his jewellery designs, which often feature strong sculpted design elements.

All of our rings are designed and crafted in the Robert Young Jewellery studio and gallery. From start to finish, every ring goes through an elaborate production process. Modern technology, such as a three-dimensional casting printer, is paired with traditional hand tools at the jeweller’s bench. After casting or handmaking, the ring is cleaned, polished and finished, often with the signature Robert Young Sculpture “love” motif. The “love” inscription is achieved by piercing the band with a very fine jeweller’s saw—a technique that takes years to master.
